Still alive

Thu Jul 9, 2009, 9:51 PM
Just wanted everyone to know that I am still around. I just haven't really had any inspiration lately, so I figured if there was nothing that inspired me to create something, I'd better just be more or less non-existent.

We'll see though...

Oh I did notice that I finally passed the 2000 page views! Thank you to everyone who has visited, and I do hope you found something you liked in my small collection.

I'm clearing out some space on my HD for a good linux distro. I'd be using Ubuntu, but it's not working on this machine. I've exhausted the list of distributions that I have right now, and it looks like I'd be better off holding out for Mint!

Do you know if wvdial is packaged with it?
:icondlkreations:
wvdial was included with the Felicia release, but not with the Gloria (7) release. You can however download it seperately with Windows or something and then grab it using Mint or Ubuntu and install it manually.

I have actually been using Mac OS X again, but am very bored with it already. Don't get me wrong, for the most part it works quite well. I just can't get bored with Linux. Plus I want to get back into making gtk themes.

I'm thinking of making two partitions, and putting Windows back on, plus Mint.

The computer I got working for my parents still has several bugs that I haven't been able to sort out yet, and they've gotten fed up with using it. They're pretty excited about getting themselves a Mac. They might pick it up sometime next week. I'll be interested in seeing how it works.

But not matter what, I'll always like the Linux ethic, and the open-endedness that comes with it. No other OS can have that.

I don't know why I didn't do it sooner.
